This exhibition explored the multifaceted experiences of artist mothers, delving into their relationships with themselves, their children, society, politics, and the art world. It offered diverse perspectives on the challenges and triumphs of navigating caregiving roles within systems that often overlook or minimize these experiences.
Kübra's contribution to the exhibition was a poignant painting titled Lebanon, reflecting her deep empathy and understanding of the human condition. Her work serves as a powerful commentary on the resilience and suffering of individuals affected by conflict, drawing from her extensive background in art and her commitment to social issues.
Kübra Müjde is currently completing a PhD at Yeditepe University and is passionate about working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds. In 2017, she developed Qbicart, a mobile art school providing online and face-to-face workshops to individuals worldwide. Through her art and educational initiatives, Kübra continues to inspire and engage communities, fostering a deeper understanding of cultural and social dynamics.
The MOTHEROTHER exhibition at The NewBridge Project was a significant event, offering a platform for artists to share their unique perspectives and experiences.
