Celebrating Art and Empowerment: Kübra Mujde’s Powerful Contribution at The Newcastle Castle
Share
In 2024, we were thrilled to continue our ongoing collaboration with the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art and artist Kübra Müjde, showcasing how art can transform personal struggles into a public act of defiance. This collaboration highlights the voices of women, offering a platform for their stories to be heard and seen in new, powerful ways.
Kübra’s artwork was featured at The Newcastle Castle, where she met with the team, took photographs with her work, and reflected on the significance of her art. One of the standout pieces, a striking flag titled For I am here, I am naked, I stand in front of you, and I am dancing! Do you have anything to say?, captures a raw, unapologetic declaration of self and the courage it takes to stand boldly in one's truth.
This work speaks to themes of resilience, self-expression, and empowerment, challenging societal expectations and celebrating the strength of women. Visitors to the Castle are invited to experience this transformative artwork up close, embodying a defiant act of vulnerability and strength.
